MEET ROGER AND MCAILEE!

For our Q4 Domestic Project this year, we're pulling together donations to help purchase an electric chair lift for our good friend Roger. We're working in conjunction with a Utah based company 101 Mobility Utah.

All donations received through the above link go towards Roger and his family! For the specific lift that will help Roger best, our goal is to raise close to $6,655. Any donations in excess will likewise be used to assist Roger in other capacities.

See below to learn more about how you can help us help him out!

SEPTEMBER IS SPINAL CORD INJURY AWARENESS MONTH

Every year, around the world, between 250,000 and 500,000 people suffer a spinal cord injury (SCI).

SPINAL CORD INJURY

DEFINITION: A traumatic spinal cord injury may happen because of a sudden blow or cut to the spine.

A spinal cord injury often causes permanent loss of strength, sensation, and function below the site of the injury.

Rehabilitation and assistive devices allow many people with spinal cord injuries to lead productive, independent lives.

MEET ROGER!

On March 8th 2020, Roger and his older brother were involved in a dangerous rollover accident. While the rest of us were learning how to adapt to "life during a pandemic", Roger and his loved ones were learning about this new chapter of their lives.

HOSPITAL & REHAB

Roger spent weeks in the regional hospital ICU undergoing surgeries and test's. Upon leaving the ICU, he was transferred to another unit where he underwent intense rehab to help regain his strength and recover from the accident.

With visitation restrictions in effect due to COVID-19, Roger's family often had to support him from afar. The picture below is of older brother Ben and family in a nearby parking lot to the hospital holding signs for Roger to see.

A year and a half later, Roger continues to attend physical therapy. When asked how we could help him this month, Roger and Mcailee decided an outdoor chair lift would be a huge help. All donations received during the month of September will be going towards helping Roger. See the link above to donate!

If you've met Roger, you know that his three defining characteristics are his smile, his laugh and his dance moves. We can think of no better person to help going into the final stages of this year. We love you Roger!
